Head Teacher’s Welcome

At Burton Pidsea Primary School, we encourage all children to be the change they want to see in their own lives, as part of a community and as a global citizen.

Our school is a small, rural primary school (approximately 11 miles to the east of Hull city centre) that has at its heart the very best of intentions for each and every child in our care. It is our inspiration that every child’s individuality should be acknowledged, allowing all children to experience success, grow in confidence and be proud of all they achieve.

We work together towards our shared vision of Firm Foundations for a Successful Future, creating a values based school, ensuring that the time each child spends with us is happy and fulfilling; with opportunities to be achieve academically and for each child to become caring and responsible members of their community and the world around them.

We strive to ensure positive outcomes for all and aim to provide children with a rich and relevant creative curriculum to ensure children do more, know more and remember more.

All children are supported by inspiring learning environments and wider opportunities both inside and outside the classroom. Children will always be at the heart of all we do – with a clear voice in what they would like to learn and to ignite a lifelong love of learning.

We embrace the extra dimension of learning that parents, carers and the wider community can bring, whilst promoting and encouraging the wealth of help and support they offer, making valuable partnerships and placing the school at the centre of village life.
